As to my knowladge, his scores only exsist on songs that don't infact exsist, but I'll remove those too.

I don't believe any of the high scores on Chrono Trigger. There are too many notes that have bugs, so they are guaranteed misses. A combo big enough to get any of those scores is impossible, I think.

Because people like you have no concept of fair play, that's why.

I think I heard once from Bandit that the maximum combo on Chrono Trigger the way it is right now is 313. Which leads one to ask...how many "guaranteed misses" are there in this song? I'll need this information before I work out the max score by hand.

That, or we could just wipe that song from the database so nobody will complain about it anymore.

Where i got the msis was on the last hard up jack. any scores in between mine and nimas are highly unlikely because there's nothing especially hard to break your combo on after i got that one miss. besides that there's talk that they are boogiebear, and really nobody's heard of them period anyway. they dont have any high scores except on bullshit songs :/

The odd thing is, a lot of them AREN'T in actuality cheaters, unless their scores skyrocket by tens of thousands above the highest possible score.

A lot of the time, I've seen newbs do this in MP, people will hit a couple arrowkeys as the game starts. It seems at the beginning of EVERY song, if you hit a key or two, you're bound to hit a secret arrow. From there, if you full combo the song, you get pushed a bit higher than the #1 score.

Granted, the scores should be erased, just quick neat little explanation. But that is definitely how they do it. ^_^

if you use firefox and a slow internet connection, you can click a song, change your mind when its part done loading, and pick another song and it will play the first one in slow motion and compare your songs score to the second one.
Like iirc someone ended up playing burnout and getting the top score by FAR in william hung

That's not happening here though, and scores like that haven't been showing up much recently. It's more just songs with people hitting a few hidden arrows and their max combo driving them a bit above the high score. ^_^ That's interesting though.

I don't think what's going on with SZR is cheating, Doug. I recently AAAed that thing myself (hooray! ^_^), and the difference between the AAA score and the "hacks" are subtle:

We know that the top legit score is 568850. We now work things out:

Kulchad1234 has a score of 569300 for second place, a difference of 1300-850=450. Awfully low differential for hitting secret arrows there. I'm thinking this is a hacker who's trying to slip under the radar. We might want to watch for him in more high score lists to see if there's a pattern, assuming he has enough high scores to deduce one.

The top "scorer" Joemaster01089 posted a score of 570380. We calculate:
2380-850=1530. This amounts to an extra perfect (possibly a secret arrow at the start of the level), but with a boo as well, along with a regular AAA. Wipe the score, sure, but he might not be a hacker.

He still got the score unjustly, so it's gone.
