Scoring System

Not sure if its just me (flame if you want, im a noob) but I think the games scoring system weights far too much emphasis on combos. I mean combos are important but are they really twice as important as the number of perfects hit? I usually score higher than my friend in raw points but lose cause they seem usally to score higher combos.

I mean, if 2 people AAA a song except for one miss each, the person with the eariler miss will win the game generally by a large margain.

This has been a great debate for a long time, but it looks like it won't be changed unless there is a major engine overhaul, as there are many places where the score is tied in and calculated, it isn't a simple change.
