I was thinking lately about how cool it would be if FFR had a nonstop mode. To make this happen, there should be a Non-Stop button at the bottom left hand corner. At the end of a song, you would receive the amount of credits that you would normaly receive for that particular song, and the "Try another song" and "Try this song again" buttons would be replaced with "Quit" and "Next Song". And this process would continue untill you either lose, or quit. The song selection would go from easy to hard, that way if you're a newb, you wouldn't get owned on the first song played :P. What do you guys think?

RE: Non-Stop Mode?
This has been brought up, but. Somehow that would totally kill the rankings. I myself would play like 4 nonstop modes and just get 100 million points each time, which is like only 1 hour of playing with me (maybe more. I suck at guessing time frames) But other than that, that would be possibly a good idea.UNLEASH THE DRAGON

RE: Non-Stop Mode?
We've thought about having nonstop mode, but you really have two options here.
1) Fake nonstop mode that has stops, like in IIDX. Where you can go grab yourself a Coke and read the newspaper before playing the next song.
2) Real nonstop mode where you load 4 or 5 songs at once, which would be a huge bandwidth issue.
Maybe in a later version of FFR, and maybe only for very special people. We'll see.Comment

See, I would have no problem with a "Fake" nonstop mode. That would save time for bathroom breaks, meals, ect.Comment

But, you could do the SAME THING just by playing normal. And you can completely ignore the uberly hard songs(only like 3 in my opinion but w/e)UNLEASH THE DRAGON

RE: Re: RE: Non-Stop Mode?
About the highscore issues, perhaps a separate highscore list for endless.
And I personally would love an endless mode. And about loading/server strain, perhaps you could just have endless as looping the same song over and over (In that case each song would be highscored with 2 lists, one for AAAs, one for endless).

RE: Re: RE: Non-Stop Mode?
Umm, Nintendo, if you made that looping thing available for ALL songs, people could theoretically play until the cows came home on stuff like Trip To The Moon. Plus, having to maintain TWO high score lists for every song?
That said, maybe nonstop mode should be limited to a certain number of repetitions. But as Chardish said, it probably isn't going to happen.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR
