When I was living in the UK, there was a DDR machine at the local cinema which a lot of the local Japanese students used. Sometimes when they danced they would put their feet on two pads at once (for example, if the steps alternated between left and right in between even trickier parts) and their game wouldn't suffer for it. I've noticed this hasn't occurred in FFR, and I was wondering if this was deliberate to avoid unscrupulous players from button mashing?
