RE: Re: wrong authour?
How could Squaresoft own rights to any song made by Koji Kondo for Nintendo. Nintendo surely owns all rights to that song.
I was thinking about this the other day and the artist should really read "Injury" or "Nintendo remixed by Injury" or something to that effect.

I'm not quite sure of the details, but all I know is Synth went to Squaresoft for use of the song :-\Originally posted by AfrobeanHow could Squaresoft own rights to any song made by Koji Kondo for Nintendo. Nintendo surely owns all rights to that song.

He stated clearly in another thread that the author should read Injury & Squaresoft, so obviously he knows what he is talking about.Originally posted by BillTheBobCatthen synth should come in here with the details. with problms like these, you need the right people to answer the question.

He easily could have been mistaken and was likely thinking of the Final Fantasy battle song which is owned by Squaresoft (Well, technically, Square ENIX now).Originally posted by lightdarknessHe stated clearly in another thread that the author should read Injury & Squaresoft, so obviously he knows what he is talking about.Originally posted by BillTheBobCatthen synth should come in here with the details. with problms like these, you need the right people to answer the question.

not to intrude on the argument but the chrono trigger battle theme was also by squaresoft/enixOriginally posted by AfrobeanHe easily could have been mistaken and was likely thinking of the Final Fantasy battle song which is owned by Squaresoft (Well, technically, Square ENIX now).Originally posted by lightdarknessHe stated clearly in another thread that the author should read Injury & Squaresoft, so obviously he knows what he is talking about.Originally posted by BillTheBobCatthen synth should come in here with the details. with problms like these, you need the right people to answer the question.<img src=\"http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/ffrsiggy.php?user=BillTheBobCat&level=crystalishouseleavesremix>Comment

He obviously did that because he was directly addressing what the first post said. That is the function of a quote; to directly address another post.Originally posted by Bahamut-XLD I love how on your first response you quote what he said. Lol.
Yea, Chrono theme is from SquareEnix also. However, the change from Squaresoft to SquareENIX isn't that important since the songs in question were made when it was still Squaresoft.

zzzzzzz
no way mario theme can be owned by squaresoft
synth is wrong
I could go into some lengthy elaboration on the matter, but it's 5:48 AM and I'm going to bed.
But yeah. Original author of the Mario song is Koji Kondo. Yasunori Mitsuda did the boss theme from Chrono Trigger (actually, you might wanna put him as the author for that, to please my VGM nerd's soul).
And stuff.
Yeah ok I'm rambling. But the point is, there is no way Squaresoft (which, BTW, isn't even a company that exists anymore) could hold the rights to the Mario theme. Nor could Square-ENIX. The song is a remix anyway so it's most likely exempt from copyright.Comment
