Empty Arrow Pushes

I just discovered this game and its a blast, but theres one thing that kinda irks me.

when you push an arrow, you automatically get a miss. like... in the begining where no arrowsteps are coming, i pushed the arrow buttons around and i get a crap load of misses. i would like to see that changed.
but i can see how that is a part of the game. i can imagine mashers just mashing all directions at once to win so...

while that does bug me as well i think its needed because otherwise everyone would be able to get a perfect score by just pressing all the buttons over and over again.
