I was also kicked out.And i cleared cache...(internet options, general, temporary internet files, then i deleted files,cookies,and cleared history).But it still didnt work.
is there a step i missed?I also did it 2 more times but it still never worked.

I read all of the posts and I have the same problem as the people who get kicked out in the middle of a game and then can't get back in because it say's "username is already taken".
I didn't mind at first but it has happened to me about 10 times now and it is really annoying. I am on a fast computer with a fast internet connection and it still disconnects me. Please try and figure out why this happens. Thank's.

Hey, I'm on multiplayer a lot, and tonight, I logged out, and when I tried to log back onto multiplayer, a message comes up and says 'This Username is Already in Use'.
No one else is ever on my screenname. I logged out, and in your FFR profile, it says whether or not youre online, and of course I am not. When I log back in, the message still comes up when I try and connect with Multiplayer.

when logging in to multiplayer, a window comes up that says "username already taken" the problem is, i was just playing multiplayer five minutes ago and it logged me out of multiplayer mid-song. i tried logging back in and the above happened.Comment

If you get kicked out of MP and it says your username is already taken.... just wait 30 minutes and try again. You have to wait for the system to log you out via inactivity.
Solution? Log out of MP correctly, using the EXIT button in the lower left hand corner.RIPComment

When I Connect To A Game As A Player, It Just Stays At The Waiting For Player Screen And When Someone Joins They Told Me Over MSN That Their Screen Said The Same Thing.....Although I Can Join As A Viewer....I Wanna Be Able To Join As A Player And Play The Damn Game Please Fix This!Comment

I was playing "Stalled Out and Sushi Bars", and although I pressed correctly the two arrows at the same time, just after, the game displays a miss, and then my gauge life decreases.
