Backgrounds

Alright, I'm just wondering, what about an option to disable backgrounds? I mean, some of the backgrounds make it helluva hard time to see the arrows, and practically all backgrounds (at least for me) cause some sort of extra delay. I'm also not looking for 'use low res' as an answer to the second part. I get about twice as many goods when I use low res because it runs... well, it just seems to run TOO smoothly.

Add ons to this? Flamings? Questions? Please post.

Umm... the only reason I don't like this is there are barely any songs with distracting backgrounds (in my opinion). The only ones I have trouble with are holy nite, zelda, and occasionally ff7 battle. I do think there should be an option to turn holy nite's background off, but not all of them. I just don't think it would be much of a difference.
