    Speed Mods

The speed mods in R2 are so cool, but most people would probably want whole numbers, not decimals (unless there are some people who have a perfect speed). I suggest that there be a text box where you input what speed you want (ex. 2) instead of trying to scroll to the perfect speed.

I don't think it really matters if you put it on 2.00 or 2.03.. But, that is a good idea if you don't want to scroll.

I do think the scrolling would be tedious though...

Sometimes I want 2.75x, or 3.25x, or something like that. I like the speed mod slider bar.

There are still going to be modifications to the speed mod slider.

          Why not just have constants?

The way the engine was created, constants would be a tad more difficult to code (I THINK), but this way, you can figure out exactly what it would be.

Cmods would just cause more drama when people used them on songs with BPM changes or pauses (assuming R2 can handle both of those...). I wholeheartedly support the lack of Cmods.

All it has to do is devide whatever cmod you picked by the BPM and poof you have the speed mod multiplyer number.. It could still include bpm changes and freezes and stuff.. its just a quick way to get you ideal speed for all songs.

Afrobean i agree with you about c-mods... Kinda ruins the fun of the stepfile...

And the slider will be modified a bit to make getting whole numbers easier but you will have to wait for realease to get more details on it...

Mabye add a "snap" option that snaps to every .25x or .5x, or something like that.

I think that was what soccr was getting at. Either that, or maybe you can type in the number where it displays what value the slide is at, and when you're done typing the slider snaps to that value.
