    FFR on Windows 11 Issue

I just recently updated my laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11. When I was playing on Windows 10 I could just click on the program in the zipfile and the game would load. Doing that in Windows 11 lead to me getting a pop up saying that I need to get the latest version of Adobe Air. Extracting all the files to a location and trying to run it leads the screen area of the game staying black, with nothing loading. What am I doing wrong?

    Laptop Specs:
    Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz (1.80 GHz)
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
    Edition Windows 11 Pro
    Version 24H2
    Installed on ‎10/‎1/‎2025
    OS build 26100.6899
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.253.0

Edit: I was able to get the hybrid version of the game to open when I changed the program to open it from the default WinZip program to WinRar program. But the other versions of the game won't work even when using WinRar.

Re: FFR on Windows 11 Issue

Screenshot is the standard Adobe AIR popup when you didn't unzip the program correctly or are running just the .exe from the zipped folder.

Make sure you're dragging the full folder out of the compressed zip folder properly, so that it has all of its contents correctly on a desktop or elsewhere so that it can run. The version of 'adobe AIR' is located in just that, the 'Adobe AIR' folder from where you downloaded, and running just the .exe or extracting just the .exe file will make it so that it can't find the adobe AIR folder.

Sorry for the non-quick response, this missed my radar since we usually look at bug reports & issues from the Discord channel for it nowadays.

TL;DR, clicking the program in the zipfile was always the wrong way to run the game. Your Windows 11 got rid of the natively installed Flash/Adobe AIR for you during the upgrade because it's an obsolete/unsupported app. Just pull everything out of the zip folder to fix.
