On a serious note (if this is even a serious discussion), post count should be kept for multiple reasons. For one, some events can use a minimum post count requirement to deter bots and alts from participating. Also, one can use the post count as a means to gauge how new someone is to the community. For example, if you see someone unnecessarily double posting but they only have 8 posts to their name, you can calmly welcome them to the ffr community and let them know that the edit button exists and should be used instead. On the other hand, if the person has 8000 posts to their name and they double post, they know very well they are postwhoring and you have every right to accuse them of that.
