I know I mentioned this to Synthlight before, but it would be kind of nice to impliment a grading system to display at the end of the song, like the "E-AAA" ratings on DDR. That way, even if you don't have a top 50 score, you have some idea on how well you did on the song.

I would love to work this in but I am short on ideas. I would like to make it different than DDR but still understandable. Any ideas out there?
Cheers,

Two ideas I have off-hand would either to use like a 0-5 star rating, of course the more stars you have, the higher the rating. Or you could make up titles to use like "Dancin' Master" or "Newbie" to use as ratings and place them on a rating bar, kinda like the Super High Impact Hit Meter.

Hmmm...well Beatmania has ratings H-A, which is 8 different ratings, so the 10 starts might not be too much. It could rate from 1-10, each having its own title.

Hmm
I like the 10 star with titles idea, it sounds like it could work..
In addition to that, could you add different sections to the Hi Scores? Such as different hi score listings for whoever gets the most perfects, or the longest chains or what not.Comment

Yeah, we will reserver that for Remix #2 though and then may implement it in the original remix afterwards. It is definately something we are thinking about though.Comment

That would work, but I think the whole thing with the titles would be more original and cooler. The letter grading scale has been done to death in video games. My friends and I will try to figure out some titles and I'll get the ideas to you tomorrow.

Yeah, the type size was kind of large on purpose just so everyone wouldn't have any problems reading it, and plus, like I said, I threw it together in like 5 minutes before work. It was just to get a layout idea across everybody, more or less the content of the results screen then anything else. Thanks for giving an opinion.
Anyone else? Synth? What did you think?

I think it is a great guide toward building our end of game screen in remix #2. Lots of info and it actually spawned a few other ideas that we will be incorporating into the system. We actually came up with this new difficulty rating that we call DSLDI (ooohh secret feature leak).. Anyway the difficulty rating is based on the percetange of people that complete that level and dynamically changes as time goes on thus giving a unique respresentation of difficulty side by side with the author's difficulty rating.
Thanks for your effort. Any more ideas? Send me a PM or post it in the official Remix #2 ideas thread. We are gathering all that we can.
Cheers,

Cool. Does that mean we'll need to submit multiple step files with the .dwi files we send, kind of like the light, standard, heavy steps?
