It does more harm than good at this point.

I agree and disagree with you.
Yes... it has caused some problems in the past. But.. there are actually people out there that want people to know about their accomplishments.
If we delete it, where are people going to post it?

signsI watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.Comment

Two things you need to do to fix the Brag Board:
A) Ban irrelevant posting such as but not limited to: 1) Fake scores (Obvious ones), 2) Useless "GJ" or "Nice" or "BS" posts.
B) Require less strict rules... also known as credibility. I don't know why it isn't possible to just believe someone you've trusted for so long.
To clean up the forum in general you just have to stop irrelevant posting. Perhaps a character limit on posts so you don't get the same 5 people continuously posting 1-line or 1-word posts in every topic to up post count.

I don't think the Brag board should be deleted. I think it should just be locked for a while. That way everyone would learn to appreciate it and not take it for granted. Also, when it is unlocked, the rules that MrESqueek named could go into effect.

no, because then instead of just saying "no" to an idea they dont like, they'll say:Originally posted by MrESqueekPerhaps a character limit on posts so you don't get the same 5 people continuously posting 1-line or 1-word posts in every topic to up post count.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
or some similar (and longer, more worthless) load of crap.
but i do think there should be punishments for breaking the rules. only problem is, what punishments will there be? 3-day bannings? credit reduction? what?So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment

wouldnt matter if it was one word, u said there should be a character limit (which, just being picky, ought to be a character minimum :P)
and if all they do is just type "no" do u really think they'd care about sounding stupid in the first place? my point is that, while a good idea in theory, the "character limit" u speak of would not help anything. So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
