FFR needs low-quality mode game play.

My computer is as slow as crap with a hangover. The arrows in the online version of FFR jump around so much they're very hard to time accurately. I tried clicking the 'Q' but that only seems to affect the menu

I downloaded the fullscreen version of the game, and right-clicking the screen let me change to flash quality to low which helped tremendously. Why cant that feature be part of the online version as well?

It is. It's the Q. Downloaded flash usually makes the flash go faster than the online version, though.
The most elegant waste of time is found here.

Yeah now tha I play it again, it does seem to work better after using Q.

Thanks for answering the stupid question guys ^^ lol

Its still not as good as it plays at my freind's house though.. it would be nice if there were an option to disable those little squares flying around in the background though... 3d graphics or and animations have a way of hogging the cpu hehe

Well I figured out why it didnt seem to help: I was testing it on a level with a background image AND little flying squares! (its the first level in the fullscreen version.)

I would be happy if you could just turn off bg images on things like that and the zelda song hehe

                  It's 2 clicks of the Q, actually.

                  1: Low quality
                  2: Regular quality
3: Excessive quality (no one needs to play on 3 for any reason, really)

You start out on 2, so clicking once moves to 3, clicking again moves to 1.

You could also try claring your cache

If you're in IE, hit TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS..., then you'll see a "Temporary internet files" area. Click "remove files".

Also, use things like Adaware and "Spybot Search and Destroy" to get rid of evil adbots and such from gunking up your internet connection and computer resources.

IE is crap; I use mozilla firefox Also, the cookies have been emptied within the last month or two so I doubt that would help much. And yeah I try to keep the background process traffic to a minimum.. maybe getting adaware to run a check wouldnt hurt either ^^
