    R^2 Engine

Most of you guys probably know by now about Velocity's newest engine project, R^2. He did quite a spectacular job on creating the new engine, as well as adding in a good number of new features.

Recently Velo undertook the task of recoding R^2 (now R^3) in ActionScript3, rather than in AS2 as the engines have been coded in for some time now. This should open up new doors for features and smoother gameplay, as well as some other stuff.

The overall design of R^3 is well under way, but there is one part of the engine that is still open to ideas and interpretation on many levels.

We need a results screen after you finish a song.

You guys are pretty much open to design a results screen however you want. The list of things I'm going to put below needs to be visible on the screen, but other than that, you can make it look how you think would be cool.

    A few more things:
-Keep the dimension proportions to 780x480px
-Color scheme and overall looks aren't the important part, it's the layout and setup that we're focusing on here.
-With the new options, it IS possible to do things like collapsing menus and things to hide or display different sets of info. Be creative.

As this isn't really going to be a judged thing or anything top secret, you can simply send your submissions to Velocity via PM (.psd files if possible, otherwise .png), and if you want to post pictures or share ideas in the thread, feel free to do so. We're looking to develop ideas for the most fluid and best to look at results screen possible. Nothing says the chosen design won't be modified or mixed with another design.

What the results screen should include in some way (unless you give a valid reason why it shouldn't be there):
    -Username of who played
    -typical perf/good/av/miss/boo count
    -max combo
    -raw score
    -total score
    -percent of AAA value
    -credits earned
    -grade
    -character/avatar
    -timestamp
    -rank for that play
    -your best rank
    -try new song
    -try song again
    -settings menu
    -highscores
    -save replay & replays/maxreplays
-author of song, song title, and song step artist
-mods for the song, such as scroll direction, speedmod, restarts, etc
-display map that shows your progress through the song

for those of you who are not veterans and cannot view the current R^2 results screen, here is a screenshot.

I'll talk to Velo about it, but perhaps the person whose idea gets chosen (assuming you aren't a vet and don't have access to the engine already) can be given Beta access to it as a type of reward. Otherwise, I'm not really sure there's much I can offer aside from knowing you helped create the results screen of the new engine.

If you have any questions, ask away.

    EDIT: official ffr color scheme

Better late than never. Just a mock-up; I thought it looked kinda cool.

Font used was called "Microstyle Extended ATT".

lmfao. I actually like that a lot. I just feel like the name should be with the timestamp, but it'd probably throw everything else off.

      Save, bitch.

I thought for sure everyone was going to ignore this, nice design you've got going there.

I would upload it to a file hosting site like mediafire and PM the link.
