lmfao dude he is top dog, next to like, dossar and maybe 4 other people...
Until he's better than Dossar and auto-bot, he's not top dog. And besides, it's a flash game.
Because you know, getting #1 in a flash game really effects your success in real life.
I still say you're an idiot for not using a mechanical kb, but maybe you've just never had the pleasure to partake in using one.
Uhh...?
Don't call someone an idiot just because they're not using a mechanical keyboard. They have their preference of keyboard, you have your own. People are going to have different experiences using either one. >__>
On topic, I use my laptop keyboard... flat, but comfortable.

There can be more than one "top dogs" you know... and maybe it doesn't matter to you, but it is certainly a sense of achievement for others.
To be on topic, I used a very flat wireless keyboard... until my parents threw it away. So I'm stuck on my laptop which isn't too bad, but definitely not the keyboard that shows my highest potential.

whoa i just read this cause scarletsky has been on my ignorelist for ages
i just wanted to give you some advice on keyboard cause you asked for some and then you go and call me an idiot for not using a mech keyhoard
yeah gj, makes perfect sense why you dont like the 'community' here
I'm still sporting an old and generic PS/2 flat keyboard that I've been playing for practically 4 years and I get better MA scores than like 90% of the active SM community. I don't mean to sound like an egotistical bastard at all but to put that bullshitted number in context, I can really only name off less than 20 people who give a shit about MA and can destroy my scores, lol (non-speedy/dumpy that is).
Hardware is only a small aspect of it all. The right mindset to play and improve is what gets recognition and improvement over time really. If you've got good hardware but the lack of skill, there's absolutely no reason in putting any blame on the hardware unless it's legitimately busted. If it works wonders and you're comfortable with it, stick with it.
Another story: Staiain used to play with a Logitech Illuminated, and moved on to a Cherry Blue Mechanical KB at one point. His scores still improved from then on, despite the different form of KBs. He has a certain playstyle; He would hit keys and let go very quickly, like staccato notes on a piano. This gave him very responsive control over fast patterns and jacks. When he tried using my laptop keyboard, he started getting random misses as my laptop KB wasn't responsive enough for his fast hits. In comparison, I tend to hold down keys slightly before letting go (due to O2Jam habits), which makes my current laptop KB just right for me
tl;dr: Everyone has their own playstyle and keyboard type suitable for it. A mechanical keyboard didn't work for me, but it worked for a few others that I know. Ultimately, we all still improved notably over time using our current setups. Best to experiment, or borrow one from a friend before splurging on a KB
I played with a Logitech Illuminated for 1.5 years and it is a very good keyboard.
And yes I used a QPAD MK-80 with Cherry MX Blue from August - January, switched to a identical model custom made with Cherry MX Brown and is using this currently.
in b4 shameless bragging: Here's what i was able to do with the cherry mx blue one:
And the Cherry MX Brown:
From my experience the Cherry MX Blue is very good for stream speed and accuarcy, while Cherry MX Brown is better for challenging patterns that require doubletapping and short time vibrating.
Also, if anyone's interested, here's a few reviews for keyboards

kid you're bad and no matter what keyboard you use, you're still going to be bad at this game
ps) you said this is just a flash game right
y u spend $ for jus a flash gaem????? lol scrub!!!!!111!11eleven
When did I ever say I was trying to get more skill? That's not even the ****ing topic for this thread. Not once did I mention FFR or SM in the OP. You're already assuming that I'm spending money to be better at a flash game. This is (was supposed to be) about KEYBOARDS, not the damn game. I could give a shit less about FFR/SM anymore.
If calling you an idiot for an idiotic reason hurt your e-peen that much, why do you bother coming back here?
@Staiain, what KBs are those exactly? You didn't specify, also, how durable would you say they are? How long did they last you?
The entire forum is about FFR you tard. Why don't you find me a general chat subforum that isn't FFR related.. oh wait, there ISN'T one.
Sources: Look at the damn site before you post and look like a ****wit.
quoted from you
"I'm currently using the Razer Blackwidow and it's GREAT. I'll never use anything other than a mechanical keyboard again. The problem is, I've only had it for a few months and already I've gone through 4 setups. It is NOT built to last at all and I need something durable because keysmashing >.>"
hey look "I need something durable because keysmashing >.>"
