FFR Shop Layout is better

So as everyone should have already seen, FFR has these awesome effing tshirts as clearly featured on FFR's home page. But as cool as those tees are - i was completely astounded to see the layout for the FFR shop and wondered:

WHY THE HELL DOES FFR LOOK SO EFFING OUTDATED. If they took that sick-ass banner and those colour schemes from the shop and just cleaned up the website, it would look so awesome. Closing the website for construction prolly wouldnt matter anyways seeing as no one really goes on it as much anymore except the forums (from what i find anyways).

This light blue colour with the grey is really old and im pretty sure its time for an update. FFR would prolly be super lively again too! I just hope I'm the last person to think of this.

So here's my request: update soon, pretty please?! : )

shop was obviously designed by darkshark as well as the shirts themselves, the FFR site was not.

The FFR we have is much cleaner and well organized than 99% of community-run websites on the web.

A few examples of BIG websites with shit layouts..

etc. I like the clean, uncluttered FFR.

I'll say this before people pounce on you, why fix what isn't broken? It's a tad outdated, etc, but everything is good as-is right now. No real need for a new layout. The percentage of people that want a change to a percentage of people that would be upset by a change is (I would guess) a pretty decent one-sided thing, toward those who wouldn't want one. My only suggestion would be that if this were being considered, run a community poll. Make a front page post about it (obviously pointed at the admins here, not you). See what the whole site thinks. Hell, if you have something in mind maybe create a preview (directed at anyone) and we'll see if anyone likes the idea.

I personally don't want a thirdstyle version of FFR (nothing against TS lol). I think the site looks fine, if we made a few minor adjustments like making the game easier to access/find.

Actually I agree with her. A new layout might help the site gain more people by being just that much more attractive to the average user.

This is something the staff has been aware of for a while.
As it is, FFR is clean and functional but could use a little facelift. I don't see much changing about the layout itself, but some flashier graphics could help.

This 100% though. Re-doing the whole site might be a little crazy, but even changing the header banner to an animated graphic that looked nice or something would be pretty sweet. I really think the most pressing issue is a more convenient/obvious way to get to the game itself.

Although I'm not staff anymore, I'm fairly certain that this is actively being worked on, but to what degree I don't know anymore. Because of busy schedules I don't know where it's at, but yes I agree that our site needs a facelift ;D

Personally, I really like the current theme. Change is always fun, though.

Many people have asked for a facelift.. sure the site is outdated graphics-wise but what's wrong with how it is now functionality-wise? Easy to find links, profiles, and menus without having your eyes drawn to something flashy like a bright banner. Also, changing the layout of the website is not going to make this place more lively, so saying 'FFR would prolly be super lively again too!' makes little to no sense.

I like the clean, uncluttered FFR.

So i will place my opinion towards anaru's post. Clean, uncluttered, and to the point with easy accessibility. Nice animation in the shop though shayne
