So I thought i'd ask all you mac users what you do to reduce lag in the game? So far i've tried a bunch of stuff, and it's made it a bit better, but still not lag free. anyone had luck with a standalone that didn't have lag?
i've found that firefox is the best browser to use, and i've switched to using flash player 9. i haven't tried 8 yet. i did try the standalone w/ flash 9, but I couldn't log in w/ the legacy engine. the velocity engine I didn't like and the lag was different than in firefox, but no better (in fact worse, cuz i recon i've gotten sort of used to the browser lag and have adapted to it).
i'm not really sure why, but whenever i have flash open in firefox for ffr (and in safari for that matter), it is just taking up tons of cpu. then of course when time machine kicks in, the lag gets worse as my processor reaches 100%. i always turn it off though when it starts up. weird that flash is such a resource hog, i never seem to remember it being that bad 2 or 3 years ago
