Annoying backgrounds
I'm a veteran and I can full combo most of the for masters only songs and some of the for gurus only songs. But I still can't full combo party 4 u holy nights only because of that ridiculous blue background that flashes and changes every 5 seconds. I literally can't see any of the arrows going by. Can anyone help me out with a way to disable the background or make it easier to see.

There's no way to disable the backgrounds, as that's what contributes to the authenticity of the file.
Best way to deal with those BG files is to probably use noteskins on Velocity's engine... -

You can't disable backgrounds, but you can do something about it to make it easier for yourself.
If you are using a laptop, try tilting your screen all the way back. The arrows will stand out more. Use a lower speed mod so that it's easier to see when the arrows scroll down or up the screen. Try to work out the patterns as well. I had to use mirror to help me hit the patterns easily.

lol the only reason party4u has a token is because of that bg. That's the point.
Also, never thought of using velocity's engine for that song. But.. wouldn't that be considered cheating? lol

yeah it's a bitch. I'm not for turning bg's off, especially for p4u since that's what the difficulties all about (that and that it's a whole ****ing minute off sync, I'd like to know the offset to put to fix that so I don't have to mute it everytime). The only song I'd like BG's turned off for is MStPT because the BG really doesn't contribute to the difficulty of the file, I can read it fine and hit it regardless, but it makes it impossible for many people to play because it makes their computer lag so hard you miss notes or it just freezes (like on mine).It's getting better all the time

Just play with your offsets. -__-
I think +/- 3 or 5 worked for me.
Haven't played it in a while so I don't remember which one or if it was positive or negative.
