    Recommended Flash Player version?

Tried playing FFR today after several months of not playing due to having a bad wireless keyboard for play. Just got my Razer Anansi, and wanted to go back to this game.

Adobe Flash 10, the most recent update was very glitchy in the scrolling of arrows, dropping to very low FPS rates. That was the case the last time I played too. I remembered that Adobe Flash 9 seemed to work good on it before. But after trying 3 different versions of Adobe Flash Player 9, none have solved the problem.

Anyone have a recommendation for a version of Flash Player that'll work the best in Firefox 4.0?

Or should I switch back to Chrome or IE?

    Re: Recommended Flash Player version?

Many people use standalone flash players. If you don't want to go through the hassle of downgrading your flash player for your browser, standalone Flash Player 8 and 9 will work perfectly once you have the proper .swf link.

Yeah, that makes sense. I hate having to downgrade/upgrade everytime I want to play.
Do you happen to have the .swf link handy?

Thank you very much psychoangel! Much appreciated. Downloading required components now, and will report back if this solves the issue.

The constantly varying speeds was getting on my nerves.

I use a standalone for Flash Player 9. It seems to be the least laggiest version and works great.

Well, it worked great at first. Then I closed it, and it hasn't worked since. Keeps telling me "the game playlist failed to load" and to check the "t-xmlfeedbacktest and t-ffrstatsread files" if I use the downloaded .swf file. And just gives me a blank white screen if I input the URL "http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/~velocity/ffr_Wide.swf" directly.

              Ideas?

                Could always try re-downloading it.
Here's both flash player 8 and 9 that I use:

Also the links for both URLs for FFR here:

I use Flash 8 and Firefox for FFR (no standalone) and use Google Chrome for absolutely everything else Chrome ftw!

I'm using 9 and Velocity and haven't had any problems. Wish there was a way to use FRAPS to record gameplay (along with audio of course) though.
