ew everyone writes so much. mental block? play harder songs for a while, go to SM and play some dumps, and stay away from that file for a day.

Your solution may only work for you, though. I find my solution to be effective for MANY rhythm games, not just FFR. It works for Guitar Hero, Pop'n, PIU (ESPECIALLY PIU, holy christ), and ITG.

When i have a mindblock, I concentrate on the right arrow only in that section... For some reason my brain can still read the other arrows and hit them on time... It's weird but it works for me

Dude, I tried this on my mindblock on Lunar Saturation while looking at the left arrow, it worked but midway during the song... guess what... a centipede pops up on the stairs beside me while I'm about to AAA it... **** ;(

My fear of centipedes reigns lol

Isolate patterns you have trouble on, and whore them to the point you could master them blindfolded.

I'm not prone to mindblocks, but when they hit me, they hit me pretty hard. I've found that the best way to combat them (and eliminate them) is to screenshot the pattern that is giving me problems, tap them out at a low speed, and then slowly increase the speed until I've gotten it at near normal speed. Works all the time, for me.

I've tried that a few times, It works if you can get the full pattern, its harder to do on higher speeds and i just suck on anything below 1.75x. As also suggested Mirror works wonders in certain songs, not so much in others.

Mind blocks are visual and only happen in 1 eye. Close one eye as the blocked part approaches and profit. If you get blocked in both eyes, gl lol

Rushy, that sounds like a fantastic method. You guys are giving such good feedback I'm almost anxious to get my next mind block and try some of this stuff out. As far as the centipede goes:

And LJ, what parts are giving you trouble in skeletor? My guess is the massive roll wall at the end. It takes a lot of practice to roll with perfect timing and accuracy and keep it up for like 10 seconds at that.. Dossar has a really interesting thread about AAAing hard song parts, you should check it out, I think doing the rolls as a jumptrill might help your PA untill your rolling skills improve. My rolling skills are okay but anything more then like 3 or 4 rolls in one I have to jumptrill to keep the PA.

Use offset -3. Definitely helped me clear a some terrible mindblocks I had on Silly Simphony. And when I say terrible, I mean TERRIBLE; to the point that it would cause me random cb's on the file.
