    Re: Velocity Engine

I dump random goods on Velo's engine, and it's really slow when you're in let's say, Dance 2, and you hit the arrow to change genres, it takes a while. It's faster on the Legacy engine, nevertheless; It's a good improvement to the original, I just wouldn't prefer it.

Gotta new problem for ya Vel.

I open up the .swf in flash player 9 and everything's going good. But then I see that I'm not logged in, how to fix? all my setting are the same and everything works just fine, it's just that I'm not logged in.

        Re: Velocity Engine

You need to login using Internet Explorer, if your on Vista or Windows 7, you also need to disable "Protected Mode" in the settings. Just read the topic on using a standalone.

          Re: Velocity Engine

Have you done all of the necessary steps to be logged in on the standalone (logged into IE, protected mode off, remember me, etc.)?

If you're logged out of IE, log back into it and make sure you check "Remember Me". If it doesn't work after that, then you might have something to show to Velocity.

          EDIT: ninja'd like hell, lol

I might be able to clear this up for you and Velocity, since it doesn't seem to be something that he is aware of. When you click Play, Forward, Rewind, Step Forward, or Step Back in certain combinations, you can get scores such as this because you get a boo for every click as well as your original accuracy.

If you do it correctly, you can even get it to rack up 2 boos for every click.

Obviously this makes it impossible to play a song through due to the effect that boos have on the life bar vs the effect of perfects, BUT, this can be used to FC harder songs with fast parts as the game is, in effect, tripling your key presses. So songs like vRofl could, if you did it correctly, be FC'd if you used this. So I would say it is probably worth looking into fixing. The easiest way I find in order to get the 1 boo for every press is just to hit play 3 or 4 times so it restarts the engine essentially after running through the error messages. For the 2 boos per press, you have to work a little harder. I think turning loop off and messing with it all will get you there.

And I just found out with holding the key down while the song loads you can do crap like this...

Just thought I would let you know. This is all done purely with your 1022.swf and the Flash 9 standalone.

              /end long post.

There's another way of running into that without clicking Play, Forward, Rewind, and all that. I accidentally figured it out a few minutes ago while ragequitting on Bricks. It's quite simple, really. If you click on File > the URL for Velocity's engine while in the middle of a song, it happens and you get boos for every click.

edit: Figured it out on ffr_Wide.swf and Flash 9 standalone.
