Weird playing style

I play with the arrows cut off at the top, if you move the scroll bar all the way down (if on screen resolution of 1024 x 768) that's how much is cut off.

Anyone else play like that or similarly?

Do you think that if you see the stationary arrows, you'll base your key presses on visual cues rather than the beat of the music?

This is basically the opposite of what Shashikiro used to do back in the day... and yes this is kinda of weird but whatever helps I guess

Yeah, and also the extra flash that comes from hitting the arrows bugs me.
I play purely by the sound of the music.

That's kinda like the opposite of what we used to do back in the day where we'd cut the bottom of the screen off to make arrows appear for just a second since there were no speed mods.

Darklink: For a majority of the songs released in this day and age, that might work, but for some of the older files (including a bunch of the songs in the "Legacy" genre) that were created/converted with inferior software, you'll notice that they don't always follow the music exactly. Many of the files created by Synthlight have this problem, which partially accounts for the widespread opinion that getting a perfect score on one of them is no mean feat.

But hey, whatever works for you. It's all about the score, not how you get there.

anybody know what rate the old 1x was at? I noticed that there is a slight difference with the 1x after speed mods where introduced
