why the lag?

my computer is not a bad puter at all and when i play this the arrows lag! and it makes me lose because even when i hit the arrows on the right time, its lagged so it counts as a "boo"! what should i do?

on the main screen (where you choose the song categories), there is a small 'q' on the top left. click that three times and it will lower your quality a lot, but it will lag a lot less.

i did that, but it seems to only weaken the quality of the main menu not the game. its still lagging a lot. any other suggestions besides getting a new computer?

Format your hard drive and reinstall Windows after backing up your important stuff.

i am having the same prob, i lowered the quality and it helped alittle but not enough, i still get screwed out of high combos because if the lag.

I'm actually having this exact same problem, except that everything was fine until yesterday, so I'm not quite sure what's up.

PIMP, what kind of keyboard do you have? If you have a wireless, they tend to lag. Some quick fixes you can do...well, upgrade your computer, for one. That's not quick, I realize. But even though you said you're 'puter wasn't bad at all', I have some question as to your technical expertise (no offense, you just don't come across as a real computer geek to me), and I wouldn't be suprised if you were running a 1.5 or something and didn't know the difference. Cheaper stuff you can do includes turning off some taskbar programs- they're the icons that show up in the lower right hand corner. Right click and delete all of the non-essential ones, they lag up your computer. Then run a spyware check- get Ad-aware and Spybot. Google for both of them. Spyware really lags up your system. Finally, run a virus check to make sure you don't have a dialer or a trojan horse polluting your system, then clear your cache. Beyond that, meh.

Okay, I managed to get rid of the lag on my comp, so Pimp and anyone else who is having this problem, this might work for you. All I did was I deleted all the cookies off my computer. Yes, I realize how disturbingly similar that is to clearing your cache. But, hey, whatever works...
