    FFR Arrow Guessing game question.

    A few questions and suggestions.

    QUESTIONS:
    1. What does the red box mean?
    2. What are your methods of guessing? I've noticed some pretty random guesses, how do you come to that conclusion? Just random numbers?

    SUGGESTIONS:
    1. In the unlikely event that someone guesses exactly, I think there should be an extra reward. Like a t-shirt or something.

Could've swore I FC'd Thrash, but according to level stats it says I have 1 miss....

The red box is presumably the range of the final arrow count.

Best guesses are determined by looking at historical data, and laying it out by days, seasons, times, and popular spikes in the week. Most of the time it's just guessing though.

Probably not, they might win some more credits.

I've been wondering this as well.

Also, I love the suggestion - how about a credit multiplier for guesses within a range?

      x

      x +/- 1000 = x2
      x +/- 500 = x3
      x +/- 250 = x4
      x +/- 100 = x6
x +/- 50 = x8 (come on, tens of millions arrows and someone gets near 50, they should be rewarded really damn nicely)

Re: FFR Arrow Guessing game question.

        1. The red box is for the people who are most likely to get their guesses right.

        2. Some people use today's correct guess and come up with something really closer to it for tomorrow. Some of the people who just guess random numbers like 1, 800, or 1,000,000,000 are most likely (probably) generous and want to add up the jackpot.

        ------------------------

        1. That seems like an interesting idea, might have to ask the mods/admins about that.

EDIT: I really like AJ's idea, a credit multiplier is pretty nice determining how close you are.

adding multipliers onto a credit grab game would be quite counterproductive.

What is this "red box" you speak of?

Re: FFR Arrow Guessing game question.

I haven't tried this, but if you collect the winning numbers over a period of time (say, a month's worth of data or perhaps less), you can probably make a better prediction if you plot the data in excel or something. Nothing's guaranteed but there ought to be trends in game playing (with the exception of special events which may alter the normal trends by increasing the number of gameplays and arrow hits).

@Velocity: When the day is winding down, a red box appears and shows the estimated range of where it will probably end up.

bmag, that's actually what I'm doing. I already have the first three winnings posted in notepad and I'm just guessing the averages or somewhere around the averages.

I never looked at the page until a new day, thanks.

Why is the cost per guess getting extremely high now? Can you guys not decide on a price or what?

Ok yeah, I'm not going to bet if it costs 1000 credits per guess.
