    Re: Trills

lol I forgot about that Robotix trill. I've never had any serious issues with it other than it made me nervous because of green arrows.

1212121 trill in TGWP makes me nervous too. As does Eternal Nightmare as a whole.

The 16th trill transition from the 24ths in Crowdpleaser are really awkward for me

        Re: Trills

Main reason those are bad is because of the horrifically offbeatness of it. I hit those arrows really hard so my keytaps overpower the music and I can usually PA them alright, but if you're trilling with the music for any part of that song, gl.

            Re: Trills

I dunno if this works but maybe it helps to keep track and look at the onbeat arrow in a trill to help coordinate timing. If you look at both arrows, you might not know when you're hitting what.

Basically this. My score on Robotix would be so much better if those trills were just... not there.

The trill at the end of runnymorning. It's slightly easier to keep my pace on a fast trill rather than a slow one.

ITG's robotix is supposed to be played with an xmod. That trill goes from 150 bpm to around 3000 bpm. You aren't supposed to be able to read it. It's better to just close your eyes and try and keep your pace.

I thought it went to literally 1337 bpm haha.

Anyway that's what makes Robotix on ITG so much fun, I don't know how else you'd chart that part in the file. I can NEVER fc that part on pad though lol

Slow trills don't really bug me too much. All I know is that I prefer trills that require the alternation of two fingers on different hands as opposed to trills that alternate between two fingers on the same hand. Anyone feel the same way?

I think it is safe to say that most people prefer two handed trills than one handed trills.

                            Fixed, and not even joking.

FFR's Robotix chart takes off of the same gimmick, which is why you see all green notes in the center of that chart as well.

Preference over one handed and two handed trills will most than likely heavily favor two handed because it takes a lot more practice to sustain faster one handed trills.

                            EDIT

La Campanella vHeart Attack - I can't help but bring this up time and time again when people mention nerves because I don't think I've ever felt nerves hit me as strong as they did there. Heart started racing, I started getting hot, hands started to sweat...it literally felt like a full-fledged anxiety attack D:

Seeing as it's nearly impossible for me to AAA a song on my computer due to random lag spikes, I look forward more to FCing songs than AAAing one. I do get my heart racing when I'm close to FCing something though, although sometimes it'll piss me off when I hit the 1000 combo mark and it jumps from 3 to 4 digits during in the middle of my screen, that screwed me up one time. Made me laugh though. (I know that's somewhat off topic seeing as we're talking about trills, but I read the first page and had to throw my 2 cents in anyways.) One handed trills = suck.
