    What stepfile style is best?

Just checking to see what stepfiles people prefer (which are most fun, or enjoyable to play)... PLEASE DO NOT LIST YOUR FAVORITE STEPFILES!! I'M ASKING ABOUT THE STYLE!! But do feel free to give examples to help clarify your opinion.

Little explanations about each style: (btw... use your own judgement on this, I know these definitions aren't the best)

1: Completely on-beat, with simple patterns: This doesn't mean arrows are sync'ed perfectly with rhythm, but rather that the steps are all on the beat (as in bpm) with no odd-feeling steps. example - Terror From Beyond

2: Steps follow the melody: Steps are made for the dominant theme in the music or the lyrics. example - Fett's Vette

3: Steps accompany melody: Somewhat undefinable... steps feel natural for the music, but don't go along with any part of the music exactly. example - parts of La Luna Caida

4: Absolute finger-mashing... : (ok, slight negative connotation on the poll option, but it's true) Entire song is nearly a run of continuous steps, most likely at high tempo.

5: Style doesn't matter: self-explanatory. But please post your specifics.

6: Music? Beat? Tempo? : If you have absolutely no interest in the music at all and merely play by watching the arrows... (no example... I don't want to offend any stepfile creators with a personal opinion)

7: Visually appealing / sync'ed with notes in music: For those of you who like pretty stepfiles, whatever that means to you... symmetry, balanced patterns... Or for those of you who like the steps to reflect the tone of the note played (if 2 8th notes are the same tone, then they're the same step). example - Abtrusity.... (not the best to reflect exactly what I mean, it fits in other categories, but it has some of these qualities)

8: Other: self-explanatory. But please post your specifics.

Hopefully this will help stepfile creators to make more enjoyable sequences.

    Uber Rave
That song goes mainly with the melody and some background music. A real example of absolute finger mashing is OMW.

Uber Rave is supposed to be a hard song, because the melody is fast, the beat is fast... it's just fast.

yeah, I just played uber-rave again to double-check..... I was wrong, sorry about that. I'll change the poll accordingly.

EDIT: Poll changed... I just didn't put an example, that style is fairly evident in itself.... basically if it's straight 256th notes at 15 jillion bpm (sarcasm, using extremes here) then that's the style.

I voted for following the main pattern... I guess that's the closest, when it just follows a background noise because it can give more arrows that way, I don't care for those ones, those are usually the 10 footers, who needs that anyway.
