Playing on new wireless keyboard

Recently, I had to take a downgrade on my keyboard, from a Merc Stealth Gaming board to a generic Logitech wireless (Not by choice, just the old one died and it was the only one available in the store). I am using the same pattern (Spread: zxop) and same settings (Down 2x) as I had before, but my scores have dropped dramatically. I can barely Full Combo anything above a 6 difficulty, and my perfect/good ratio has dropped from 20+to1 to 3to1 or worse.

I'm assuming it's due to the new keyboard not being able to send out signals fast enough for FFR to catch, as it's most prominent during speed sections and where there are multiple double/triple hits in a row.

I've placed the wireless receiver as close as I can, made sure the batteries were fully powered and that the keystrokes aren't on the same wires.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work, or am I doomed until I can afford a new gaming keyboard?

Wireless keyboards are horrible to play on. Massive delay + dropped keytaps from the signals being lost/dropped. Get a wired one if you're going to play.

I play on a wireless keyboard. Here are some frustrating things about it:

a) About 1% of the time, my wireless keyboard fails to respond to really quick keytaps.
b) About 5% of the time, my wireless keyboard would occasionally drop a boo if I hit a very late or early perfect.
c) About 2% of the time, my keyboard runs out of battery when I have a decent run on a song.
d) My "T" and "M" buttons are constantly falling off. Luckily, I don't use either two buttons when I play FFR.
e) Due to intense FFR playing, there are some holes in my keys. Lol... yeah... I'm serious.

But why do I continue to play with my wireless keyboard:
a) Keys are ultra ultra thin, and the keyboard itself is a very flat keyboard.
b) The keyboard I'm using is a gaming keyboard that can respond to keytaps about 30 or 40 ft away. Due to this responsiveness, there generally shouldn't be a problem in terms of delay and such.

My advice to you is to try and get used to it. If that doesn't work out, get a wired keyboard.

Well, for instance, if 60% of the time, it works half the time... then it really only works 30% of the time, every time. XD

Unless of course, we say that 60% of the time it works half the time and the other 40% of the time it works every time... then it'd work 70% of the time overall. XD

Well the theory is, during that 60% of the time that it works, it's 100% guaranteed to work. Good theory isn't it? Hahahahaha

Well thank you all for the answers.
I agree with you that a wireless system is not the best for gaming, and these type of situations are why I have never recommended a wireless input system to any of my friends.
Unfortunately, I'm stuck with it for the near future.
Guess this means I have to stick to 7-8 difficulty songs, as pretty much anything above that level just doesn't record the keystrokes fast enough.
