Request: How to reduce lag

Alright. So. Here's the issue. I'm not comp-savy. I know enough to get by, but nothing special.


I was wondering if there was some POSSIBLE way to reduce the flash player lag. My PC is pretty damn capable but my flash player seems to lag enough to make it hard to read fast streams such as Vertex Beta. And sometimes it freezes completely to the point where it causes me to fail.

It's ****ING frustrating because it's hindering my ability to FC songs and it's honestly getting on my nerves to the point were I want to shake a baby.

I've reduced the settings of the flash game. I've shut EVERYTHING down and played with only FFR up. Nothing really seems to stop this piece of crap from lagging at random.

Any suggestions? -- Or reasons as to why this is?

You would figure, a member from '07 would know to read forum stickies. Yes, I may sound irritated, but it's a bit annoying to see people ask the same questions over and over again when the information is available for everyone to see.

I mean, the sticky is even within the FFR R1 General Talk forum, which is where you posted. >_>

Aiight. Here's a more specific question.

I have Flash 10 so imma' assume that's probably the problem. So I'm going to downgrade.

Anything but 10. Personally I use 8 and I have no troubles.

If you can't tell us this then just leave cause if you can't try to help yourself we can't help you, and why try if you can't? Your operating system is like if you use Windows XP, Vista, OS X, Linux. Processor speed can be found if you're on Windows by right clicking on My Computer, and going to properties. The internet browser is the application you use to browse the internet/play FFR.

Check out Tasselfoots video on how to reduce lag, worked for me at least and I use Firefox

Flash 8 would be your best bet but 9 seems to work okay as well.

At least when I play FFR I only have MSN running and Firefox. More apps and my PC collapses.

Yeah I went with 9. Seems to be running a bit smoother. Not that it matters now. Trying to teach myself spread.

I feel like i'd be better off smacking my face into the keyboard.
