Hey lets rush me as fast as you can so that you can get a shoddily made shirt that falls apart as you wear it.

I just ORDERED the materials geez, I don't have them yet, and won't for a few days. Chill.
Going from idea to full-on production takes time.


And top 1000 EL shirt is a gigantic no, unless someone else wants to make it. An EL panel that big would cost well over $100.

Woah, sorry! I didn't mean to sound like I was rushing you. I can wait as long as you need to make it as good as you can. I thought I read somewhere that a prototype would be done in an hour. I didn't think it would be, but you never cease to amaze me!

wow the light blue light up arrows looks very nice. were you planning on having the username and website name light up as well shown in the gif or were they just going to be a certain color. seems like not having them light up and just having them on the shirt would work fine.

on a side note, i walked up to my parents and was all excited and explained to them the kind of shirt i was getting and i could tell they had no idea what the hell i was talking about. :P

Yeah I was planning on having the names light up for sure, but I'm back and forth on having FFR light up or not. The mistake I made on the gif, is that the name would almost always be a solid ON, because its going to light up with the lowest EL panel, which reacts with the lowest volumes. Oppostie with FFR.com, it would only light up at maximum volumes. Each control box has an adjustable sensitivity control btw, which is why I'm unsure about FFR lighting up, cause I'm sure all of us are going to keep the sensitivity below maximum so it would rarely light up anyway.

oh wow that's amazing haven't read the thread yet but I'm interested.

Edit:

I don't think I'm going to have the FFR dude light up, that would use way too much EL material. and take longer to make.

This animation was actually made in 3ds max, and is layered EXACTLY how the real shirt is going to be, so I basically have all of my cut patterns done already which will speed up the process.

So the arrows will light up in the form of bars rather than the whole arrow itself or the perimeter of the arrow?
