I have a extremely hard time AAA ing even the easiest songs. I can full combo 6's, some 7's, and an occasional 8, but I still haven't done better than a BF on the super mario remix. Does anyone have any advice?

Get better. My friend John (dll man) has the same problem, I think that you just have to get some pa practice in and you'll get it by playing for a long time. Others may recommend Stepmania, but it's not necessary, look at awein999

My advice to you is to play some really low leveled songs like 1/2/3's until you finally get the hang of AAA'ing them, then you eventually move up on difficulties as you play and practice more.

That's exactly what I did. Spontaneous Hydroxide used to be the hardest song to AAA.. it took me weeks to get that AAA. But once I finally got it, I slowly moved up, picking songs off my level rank, trying to go to the bottom of the list and playing my worst songs. It ended up helping me out a lot. Use your level rank! Eventually I got a huge skill boost and now I can SDG most FMO's. Still no Oni token though, oh well.
P.S. I didn't play StepMania until just recently, but the first 2-3 years was all FFR. Although StepMania does help out a lot. Try going to bluexoon.com for some song packs.Last edited by Partisan; 08-22-2009, 09:11 PM.Comment

Are you aware of the fact that FFR's perfect window is early? If you hit a little early you'll be more centered in the perfect range.

Use a higher speed mod. I couldn't AAA anything at 1.75x but when I got used to 2.0x my PA went through the roof.
