How long will it take...

before I'm able to nail high-speed streams like the ones found in the song 'Gradeus'? How long SHOULD it take? On average? A player of 7 months, a year and a half? I'm not looking for a very specific time range but something general..

P.S. Assume that the user practices on average of three to four hours a day

it would help to know what speed mod you're on, as well as your playing style (spread, index, 1-handed)

it depends on what songs you play and whether its on ffr or sm

if you just play hard songs on ffr im pretty sure it'll take maybe 5 months to gain really noticeable speed increase. if you plan on doing sm training then the rate at which your speed increases will be higher

I play spread 1.50 and whore 9's and 10's on FFR

So many people have told me that SM will help me, and I've tried it but it doesn't really help :\ I mean, I'm sure it does but.. it doesn't help because I don't know what I'm doing/downloading. If someone could actually be kind enough to send me or link me to files with stepmania songs/files that'll help increase my speed at a fast enough rate to soon be able to do high-speed streams effortlessly, that would be amazing

try to pass the songs that are in there

after this gradeus shouldn't pose any problem
