    Stepfile/Simfile backgrounds: think before use!

Hi there, first time poster, long time lurker/player...

I often find myself having difficulty completing a song due to the brightness/flashiness of a background. Now, maybe this is just my personal opinion, but isn't the difficulty supposed to be measured by the arrows, rhythm, etc?

Am I of the minority here? Does anyone else have a similar issue? What songs do you find difficult because of the background? What are your suggestions for simfile creators?

A prime example for me would be: Ball of Malt. I like the song, found the rhythm easy to get with, but darn it, that flashing background...

My personal suggestion is: have other people test your sim and ask questions. If nearly everyone goes, "Yeah, the background bugged me a little," change it to something more bland.

Re: Stepfile/Simfile backgrounds: think before use!

set the background brightness to 10% and you'll be good

and as for ffr you're referring to old songs, those wont change at all

if you notice all the newer songs dont have backgrounds

        He's talking about FFR guys.

and only a minority of songs have backgrounds these days, all the new songs dont have backgrounds. I too find ball of malt annoying, I cant even AAA it.
