I've never tried index, but I think it'd make trills much easier than they are on spread, particularly those in which both notes use one hand (left/down and up/right).

Oh, okay. I suck enough with 3 fingers, so I don't think I'll try index XD

Yes, you are part of the 1 % of people that play this game regularly and aren't good at it.

Considering he has almost 300 AAAs and some of them include Dokudenpa and Pupil of Frenzy, which are things people who actually aren't good at the game can't even FC (or survive, for that matter), that was pretty much beyond uncalled for and far from true. And as much as this isn't an excuse to score lower than other people, his custom title advertises that he uses 3 fingers.

Not even 200 people have AAAed Dokudenpa, so apparently most of the FFR population can't play very well by your standards.

Yeah, I used to play index and got much better when I switched to spread. I have a friend who's a total beast with index, though, even though he barely ever even plays FFR.

99 % of FFR isn't very well by the standards of anybody who's good at this game. Unless you've AAA'd a FGO, you're probably not good in the eyes of anybody who is.

                    Re: Spread

Ask anybody who's AAAed an FGO if you have to AAA an FGO to be good at the game and I almost guarantee you they'd answer no. Anybody who thinks that has a distorted view of "good" because in order to AAA an FGO you have to be a Guru, not good.

I understand that being good at the game and being bad at the game are both subjective, but to call someone who can AAA a 9 bad at the game is pretty far-fetched.

"Good" is opinionated and people consider themselves good regardless. I think I'm "good" at this game because I have fun while playing it and keep improving. I can also fc FMO's which may not be much to other people but it is important to me. Even if the 1% of people who are "good" think other players are not good at FFR, if the players themselves think they are good then what does it matter.

Anyways, spread is definitely worth it. I started in November with spread and now I'm already in the advanced bracket of some tournaments. I think that it is also the easiest playing style to improve with.
