Hey. In case anyone already thought of/did this, I apologize but I just figured out a new way to play FFR on your keyboard, involving just using your thumbs.
Map it like this (or similar):
Tab => down
` (that's the grave accent above tab and below Escape) => left
+ (on the far right side of the keyboard, not the one above equals) => right
- (again, on the far right side) => up
Now, pick up your keyboard and hold it with both hands, and use your left thumb for left and down and your right one for up and right. To hit a left+down or up+right combination, simply mash your thumb in the middle of the two keys.
This is one where you should have a real advantage if you have a wireless keyboard. (Mine is wired though).
One advantage of this thumbs technique is you don't have to worry about your keyboard sliding as you play. (That happens to me sometimes).
If someone already thought of this or if anyone has a better thumbs technique, please post here and tell me (and everyone) about it.
I have to say I'm not quite skilled in it yet but it seems very workable. Try it.
Also, notice left and right are not matched up between the hands, nor are up and down. I find this particular way feels most "natural" to me but feel free to swap left and down or up and right and try what feels more natural to you.
Oh, and it appears you can hit all four of those at once as well, from what I can tell, so no worries there on charts that require that.
Comments/Suggestions/etc are welcome and appreciated. Thank you and enjoy!
