i got stepmania for the mac, downloaded winrar, downloaded songs with the smzip thing and i put them all into the songs folder. what do i need to do to play them. pls help, major anticipants for stepfiling xD

If you put them in your songs folder correctly ("artist" folder and then "song" folder), then you should just go to Game Start, then Single or Solo (depending on how the file was stepped), and select a difficulty. Then the songs should show up in the wheel.

If they don't, try reloading the songs manually from the options menu by selecting "reload songs / courses".

Make sure that the files for the song (an mp3 or ogg, a sm or dwi and all the graphics) are positioned in a folder (the song folder) which is nested in a 'group' folder which is nested in the /Songs/ directory of /Stepmania/. Otherwise Stepmania doesn't know to look there.

So it should look something like this: /Stepmania/Songs/Miscellaneous Songs/Over The Frail Dream/(all the files should be here when extracting)

I think .smzips do this all automatically, though, but just make sure.
