    Quick Question! ;x

How long does it GENERALLY take you to make a good simfile?
    _________________________________________

Time to be taken into consideration:

    - Time for figuring out the BPM and Offset

    - Time to actually make steps for it now having the BPM and Offset done

    - Time to possibly make harder/easier steps for the same song

    - Time to create bg, banner, cdtitle

Also, depending on if the song is like, 2 minutes long, or 5 minutes long, how long would it take to make the steps for the song?

Dang, my heads exploding with questions, and umm...

When you copy and paste arrows does that make your simfile kind of boring and not good? :[

1 hour per 1 minute of music give or take, depending on the complexity of the song. This doesn't include graphics, alternate charts, or testing, just the chartwriting process. Simpler songs tend to take pretty quick after lots of practice.

As for your other question, yes copy/paste can make your file boring which is why you should pick songs that don't require too much copypasta

      like 5 min.
edit: copy paste is fine if you use it in small amounts, and if you change whatever you c+p'd up a bit.

Oh, and also when it comes to layering and pitch relevance or whatever that is, sometimes like, during a stream of notes following the beat, then once another instrument or sound is put in, I use freeze notes to indicate that its following the instrument now and not just entirely the beat. Thats fine to do right?

It may sound crazy but I've made a few completely 100% in sync very well stepped files in just about 2-3 hours. It may take some days though if your a beginner and not used to layering, syncing, etc. But overall you can make a truly good file in a matter of hours as long as you know what your doing.
