Is playing split screen a bad habit?

Should I start using speed mods? I mean I've tried using speed mods and I fail so badly but playing spread split screen I can do. I mean i've heard that speed mods increase your skill but it hasn't increased mine at all...

u might not be able to get used to speedmods the second you use them, but trust me, once you get to difficuly + songs, increasing your speed mod REALLY does help...it helps you to read the patterns easier...dont go any higher than 2.0 i suggest 1.5 good luck

Speedmods allow the arrows to be spread out more, so you can read them better. Once you start playing higher difficulty songs, move your speedmod up to 1.25. then, as you get better, you can increase it a little more. If you find it isn't really helping you or it's too fast, stop increasing the speed.

Playing split screen isn't really a bad habit, it's just preference.

Screencutting actually has its advantages as well: you can reduce the number of arrows on the screen without reducing framerate. Stick with it if speedmods aren't comfortable for you, or if you can't adjust to them well.

lol the moment I subscribed (xmods subby only, were released about a few months after then) I could use 1.75x instantly. Odd.

Do it! do what ice lazer3 said. I tried screencutting myself and I got so many goods it's not even funny! Your PA will improve as you get used to them.
