You could be talking about Lunar Saturation, by SUN3, which is also on FFR.

The original is Millenium Gensoukyou ~ History of the Moon, by ZUN, from Touhou 8 Imperishable Night. Final A Boss, Eirin Yagokoro's theme.

The Brain of the Moon is a remix of the song 『千年幻想郷 ～ History of the Moon』 which is Eirin's theme song if I'm not mistaken.

As for Touhou game origin, I forgot. I think it was in either Perfect Cherry Blossom or Imperishable Night.

I'm not a Touhou fan (anymore). Information can be found just by putting whatever subject into google, and picking out a reliable source. All takes less than 3 minutes. Really, this thread needn't have been made.

Well they are BOTH from Touhou (and the same game to be exact)
But I don't think they sound similar, maybe some of the sounds, but not the actual melody.

No song has any theme/melody similar to each other, outside the fact that they're all Touhou genre. As in, no two original songs use the same exact melody line.

The Lunatic Princess is based on the song for the Japanese folklore called Kaguyahime. and yes, Kaguya's storyline in the game IS the folklore Kaguyahime. Mokou is an addon though.
