    Improving?

So, just wondering, recently it was the exact day of me playing FFR for one year now. I play Very Difficult now. How long did it take everyone else to get good? Like Masters & Gurus? Or anyone.

Actually, its not how long you have been registered to this site, but the amount of games you have played. You have only played around 1600 and you have been a member for a year while some people that have been a member for a year have played 10,000 or more easily.

I guess that's true. I should play more. It was hard with school though, so now I have been playing more.

It's more related to the grand total not games played cause some people boo out 90% of their songs or more. I still think a gameplay should only count if you pass the song

If the file is difficult but super straight forward, he has issues. If he's AAAing a FGO but then heard that his favorite Hockey team was losing by a point, Hockey > FFR

                    Re: Improving?

It really isn't all that hard to pass things. I mean there is mashing etc. But it took me almost two years to get to the skill level I am now, which isn't even that good. I'm to the point where I can FC most Very Difficults and Challengings.

And considering school and my dad grounding me frequently from the computer, it's been about 6 months that I've been actively playing and trying to improve. This also wasn't my first account, but I wouldn't recommend going and mashing on the FGOs and thinking you're good, because that leaves you with a boosted self-confidence and an altered view of the gameplay and lack of motivation to actually try to play decently and improve to the point where you can pass/decently combo those songs WITHOUT mashing.

Started about a year and a month ago and was playing StepMania pad files on the keyboard... on Standard... yeah I basically sucked.

After about a month I came here. Started out playing like Free Space and such, am now AAA'ing FMO's and SDG'ing FGO's.

When I first started playing, I went straight to verdy Diffucult and challenging, I played DDR 4 years before playing FFR, so I was used to patterns and everything. All I had to do was transfer my talent to my fingers and I'm set, I can AAA up to VC and get like SDG's on FMO's, yet can also FC guru's.
