help with playing FFR on a dance mat

    hey,
I've spent about an hour now browsing the forums to find a way to play FFR with a dance mat. Recently I purchased a metal dance mat and a ps2>usb converter (specifically the PS Joy Converter http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?cat...oducts_id=255&). I can play StepMania just fine and have no problems. I am pretty sure the way to go about doing this would be to find some sort of program that maps a joystick to the "up down left right" keyboard buttons. I have yet to find a solution to this or a program that can accomplish this for windows. I found an article (http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;q176417) on microsoft.com related to the issue, but after downloading it i wasn't much sure what to do with it. I'll send 300 credits to anyone who can offer a complete solution.

Perhaps there is a way..but it would be difficult and complicated to make it work. On top of that the songs on FFR would be very difficult to play on pads..most of them impossible. On top of that keeping your weight on an arrow any longer than necessary would be the same and holding down an arrow key..resulting in a ton of boos..to sum it up unless synth does something to make it possible don't bother trying.
One day there will be a really cool sig here. But not right now.

Why don't people read my topics? http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ewtopic&t=8820
Go to that topic that I posted. Next time, look a few topics down before you post something like this to see if anybody has solved the problem.

i already read that topic, and a lot of others, joy2key was made for linux. i have windows xp pro and therefore can't use it. instead of EXE's joy2key are RPM files which were made for linux. therefore this does NOT solve my dilemma, in fact windows doesn't even recognize the file format. any further input?
