I want to have a voice conversation on MSN and play FFR at the same time, but it's music overpowers everything else on my computer.

This wouldn't even be hard to implement.

Well, this has been discussed before... Why would you want to have a voice conversation on MSN while you're playing FFR? You should probably be concentrating on the game, as it's rather easy to get messed up by obvious distractions like MSN/AIM. I personally leave them running, but sometimes, I pay the price...

you know you can just open up volume mixer and adjust the volume for each program

FFR is a Rhythm/Music game. As such, the music is the key component of the game. Why would we want you to reduce that in favor of other noise coming from your speakers?

Because having more features on FFR is usually better than not having them. I have wanted this to be a feature for quite a while now. For some users being able to turn off the sound would just add to their enjoyment of the game. I find that the music makes me do worse when whoring songs, and would like to be able to listen to something else while playing, even if it's not music.

It's what I use for all the 4-5 min rock/emo/screamo songs on FFR. Mute the browser while my iTunes plays good music.

Well you can lower the volume of the browser to what you see fit. I just like muting the whole browser because I hate hitting arrows when someone is screaming at me about their life sucking. xD
