So, hey FFR.
Can you believe I've been a member for almost 2 and a half years now, and I've made a total of about 5 posts or summat?

This seems like a great community, I have no idea why I've been skipping on it like I have.

In any case, back to the topic at hand here: I am trying to get into the top 10,000. I would probably be WAY higher, butttt I stopped playing for like 8 months or something. Then I sucked again. Anyone know what songs are good for flying up in overall rank?

MP really isn't that important unless you want the token. lol.

something with a high notes per second thats around your skill level so you can fc constanly.

Well overall rank is mainly all about how many games you have played, so I would say if you want to be in the top 10,000 just play alot of random songs and hone your skill while doing so, than go for your average rank ^_^

I don't really care what my Average Rank is [I do believe that that is an average rank of individual songs]

I thought overall rank was based on your score/skill...

Overall rank is based on score. Odds are if you are in the top 100 overall rank, you are a FFR whore...

Average rank is more skill based. If I were you, I would set a goal to get your average rank under 1000. I personally consider people good at this game once that milestone has been reached.

It happens, I looked at this site back in 2004 or so and didn't join because I was at other forums doing stuff.

Sometimes you can forget about things.

None-the-less you're posting now so enjoy the forum.

Also, to answer your question. Average rank is dependent on all songs so just play them all at least once to get ANY rank on it. That alone will help your average rank. From there just go for the songs you think you can AAA, then follow that up with improving the songs you have the worst rank on.

Hell no, work on your average rank. If you want any respect and something worth bragging about later on, you need to:

1) Check your level rank stats

2) Play every song at least once, don't leave any song with a score of 0 (that will take a long time, but the funnest part of this game is having something to do [that's why all the good players quit])

3) Then once you have a rank on every song, start with the last songs on your level ranks (the ones with the worst ranks) and try to improve them.

If that doesn't seem like something you wanna go through, then go through songs by difficulty, from Easiest to Guru's.

But seriously average rank these days is everything. I personally just play to keep myself entertained and because i need the decently small black out.

Overall rank is worthless, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Well over 300 people have a higher overall than me, and a good majority of them aren't necessarily good. Just means they play a lot.

overall rank just measures how much you play. so, the more you play, the better your overall rank will be. yes, playing harder/faster songs may get you there quicker, but only if you're able to do well on them.

so, my advice is to play songs that you are comfortable playing and enjoy listening to or have fun with. really, if you're having fun, you'll play more. play more, rank will get better. simple as that.
