I just recently started playing FFR and I seem to be running into a problem. Whenever I get to a spot where there's like a lot of repeated keys quickly I get off the beat and mess up completely.
Ah, the patterns you speak of are jacks. You should try to master slower jacks until you can PA them well. Keep practicing at them, challenging yourself more each time. Slower jacks can be found in songs like Anubis and Satori v2. Faster ones are commonly found in FMO/FGO songs like Crowdpleaser and Death Piano. If you want to start with REALLY slow, repeated taps, try songs like Song for the Nihonjins or Secrets and Lies. Those have slow, repeated 8th taps (red arrow, then blue arrow, then red arrow, etc.)
lol... i bet you guys are both talking about stuff way too hard for this guy...
what songs are you trying? my advice (since this used to happen to me on slower jacks) is just to focus in real clearly on the music/beat. don't focus on the arrows. when you hear the beat that the arrows are on, hit the key. and just continue to hit it every beat. that is, assuming it is one of the noteskin'd songs... if it's one of the old blue-note files... well... then you'll just have to go by the arrows, because many of them are a bit offsync.
Here// Just change your speed mods.. Use 1.5X or 1.75X it might be easier for you, since it stretches the arrow sight, um and also have good eye sight to read on coming arrows.
play archowl [hardmix] on stepmania and change the rate around until you find a comfortable speed to practice on and then gradually raise it
edit-guilliame (sp?) telle oni works too
Like Tass said, I don't think RM will understand language beyond FFR.
As a note: Download this then Click me.
"Download this" is a link to Stepmania, a similar offline (can be online) version of FFR. "Click me" links you to the instructions on adding songs. From there, you can add songs suggested by other people, for example "Arch0wl [hardmix]". You may want to go into a bit of research to understand more about FFR and SM (Stepmania).
To understand words like "Jacks" as per mentioned above, have a read through this. You might learn something.
