So I put myself on hiatus from FFR about 6 or so months ago (to playing no more than 2 songs a month...maybe) and now for the past 3 days I have gotten back into the game. Breaks are good right? So before hand you know I could beat every song...finishing FGO songs without a problem...Pants OMW and the like...but I wasn't so great at getting combos...I understood little of the arrow sequences in the FGO songs and just kinda played along til the end. FMO songs were no problem as I was beginning to FC most of them. So come 6 months later I figure "I'm going to be really rusty." First few songs...no problem..basically picked up where I left off. Now, 3 days later, and some 50 songs played later, I am nearly FCing most FGO songs...any idea as to why not playing would insenuate a jump in skill level?

Re: Skill through not playing
I forgot when avmiss fix was in place. 6 months may have changed FFR.Any FFR song title discrepancies? List them here.

I'm sorry I guess I was gone too long can you explain avmiss...and it's not just that my stats are getting better it's that my eyes can catch the quicker arrow sequences better...32nds 64ths etc..Last edited by xboxcreature; 06-28-2008, 10:29 AM.Comment

Re: Skill through not playing
av misses are a bug in ffr when you would hit something and it would miss and give you an average and a miss
they fixed it so now every arrow that you hit is hit normally
also, when you take breaks from rhythm games, you lose your speed and all your previous mental blocks on songs
when you come back, its like playing the song for the first time except you know the music so it is easier
your pa should be almost the same and your speed should be decreasedComment

I don't know if this could be taken into consideration but the fact that when certain tissue...muscle tissue in particular...are destroyed they take some time to heal and I'm guessing that giving it time to repair would one, allow it to work better, and 2, repair itself stronger than before, is this correct?Comment

Re: Skill through not playing
Possibly...the biggest reason your better is the avmiss fix. Arrows you normally thought you were hitting, and then you weren't, are now registering. Though taking a break can be a good thing too.Comment
