    Trying to get average rank down. And AAA's

    I have a question for everyone, and I'd love some feedback.

    I've been trying for a while to improve on both my average rank, and my AAA numbers.
    I have finally got almost all of the harder songs (6-12 bars of difficulty) under rank 5000. And now All I have left are these little weak 1-2-3-4 bar difficulty songs. But I can't get a AAA on them nor can I get them under 5,000 rank. Because I get so bored playing them, that I get distracted and get goods and other crap.

    Any ideas on how to keep focus when the notes are so slow that I start looking around in between them?

    I'd really like to get some of these under 5000 / AAA'ed.
    FC's: 440 (1 FGO, 2 FMO, 15 VCh, 57 Ch, All VD and below as of 12/06/08)

          Keep your head looking at the screen no matter what. Don't look away. Just keep your eyes open and your mind should work your fingers to the arrows even if you're not really paying attention. If all else fails, try using a different play style and maybe you'll find the easier songs interesting then.

                  the way i do it is just think of something totaly not about ffr, but keep payin attention to the notes or like everyone else says try a new speed mod, 2x would probly be best

                      I know how you feel about getting distracted. Honestly, the best thing you can do is just focus and hope for the best (IMO). That's what I do, although I usually have to whore songs a bunch before I AAA them. <_<

                          I'm the same way. I've dosed off countless times playing an easy song lol.

                          If its off beat mute it or just focus on the arrows, and if its too slow use a speed mod like others have suggested. Not too fast or you're gonna be like WOAH but one or two notches higher should suffice.
                          I have some catching up to do. Goodness.

                                      It's hand and eye coordination practice. DO NOT get bored with it. Keep your eyes focused on the arrows and the screen, don't look away, if your head, ear, nose starts itching don't even try itching. Sometimes making me itch makes me gets goods. Just put on a speed mod, or some other mod.

                                          If you do get bored with FFR, the chances of you doing better are more slim. You have to enjoy yourself as you work to your goal. Some of the songs are annoying, however, and you might want to take a different method of approaching certain songs. Firstly, switch to spread if you haven't already.

                                          Personally I find it easier to use a slower speed mod on offbeat or offsync songs because I tend to hit the note I see rather than feel the rhythm. Try what works for you, and good luck!

                                                          get some self discipline by sitting at the bottom of a waterfall and meditating and then do 3 hours of martial arts practice that induces physical pain upon your body

                                                          when that training is finished, focusing on ffr crap will be cake
