The Canadian province with the highest murder rate is Saskatchewan. 4.1 murders per 100,000 people. Our average is 1.9

The average in the US is 5.5 murders per 100,000 people.

Also, any national level statistics for Canada are innately misleading because we have provinces with incredibly small populations who are also prone to crime in general.

For example, the Newsmax article shows the comparison of

the violent crime rate in the United States was 475 per 100,000 people; while up north, there were 963 violent crimes per 100,000 people.

Yes, the average is high, but then compare Ontario (The largest province in population by a large margin) with 756/100,000 to the Northwest Territory and Nunavut with 6,448 and 6,764 per 100,000 respectively. They are bringing up the average by a HUGE margin, but bear in mine that the population of those provinces is 73,000 combined. That's 0.2% of the population of the country.

Now, stop poking holes in a questionable article that supported the US. Keep in mind that the military budget of the US is greater than that of everyone else who matters combined. seriously... I walk around till 4 am sometimes and do you know how many cops pass me? well yea i'm 20 but still they don't know that specially cause I wear tripp pants and crap like that haha.

Oh and if you wanna be ungrounded in a day, do what I did 6 years ago:

Walk around your house getting in your parents way not eating nor drinking, when they tell you to come eat dinner don't respond.
They will get so annoyed they'll be forced to unground you its so funny. I mean what can they do force you to eat? force you to drink? hell if you're parents are like mine they'll get really concerned and they'll have to unground you.

I find it funny that in Canada, if there is a shooting or murder, its all over the news for multiple days.

The only time I see any USA murder/shooting storys is if it is one guy shooting up like, hundreds of people.

That's because US is used tyo people getting shot, it's not a big deal or something rofl. I just watched Bowling for Columbine yesterday o.O and in the US around 11,000 people get killed by guns a year, 165 in canada.
