FFR MP3's

I was thinking, many people try to get the MP3's of songs from FFR but can't find many. I think that since we all use paypal for this site, they should open up a FFR music store where they sell the MP3's of the songs for like .99 each and put together cd's of one artist and sell them for like $10 or more. I just thought this was a neat idea.

If you can't find it there, then you are going to have to get it from somewhere else. FFR does not support the free MP3 downloading of songs on here.

When we release our artist profile system, there will likely be a methodology for artists to sell their music through it.

oh, ok. I just thought this would be a neat way for the site to make some money and add new and better things to the site. This works just as well, especialy for the artist.

This is brilliant and highly encouraged. It not only supports the artists, but shows how much you support the artists in a measurable, $$$ way. Hopefully it could help support FFR financially as well. Glad to see you're on the right track.

The artists would need to get a large percentage of the money.

We can't get permissions by telling them we sell their songs and they get nothing in return

no duh. and they would be the ones putting the mp3s up for sale/download, not us. so only those who want to participate would. and only those songs they want to be put up would be.

and to add, since we have links to pretty much every artists homepage on ffr if people wanna buy songs, they would just need to click the artists link and go buy them from their websites.

When you download from the simfile database, the mp3 comes with the stepfile, right?

i get all of it free, thanks to the help of FFR. and no, due to the legal issues regarding this, i'm not telling ya guys how it's done. if you look around and try some things, you might find out yourselves.

I told how it was done in one of my older posts, but I'm not going to find it and provide a link to it. At the time, I thought all of the music on FFR was distributed freely by the artists to anyone, but I realize that isn't the case now.
