    Playing FFR Offline?

Yes, I am so addicted I have to do it. I'm going on a road trip in a few days to Orlando, where I am moving. I know it's possible to play the game offline, as I want to download it to my laptop and play on the trip. How is this accomplished? Before then I always played it online...so yeah. Thanks for any help given.

Yeah Stepmania lol, but FFR offline? Usually to get the songs to even load you need internet I don't know if playing a site game offline is possible.

I have SM on my computer, I don't care for it really. I'm just interested in FFR.

its only possible if you download the song whilst online and then disconnect from the internet and you can keep playing the songs in your cache i think...

There was a downloadable version a while ago.

Had HELLBEAT and a couple other songs on it.

Yeah the only way you can come close is if you play SM, playing FFR offline and playing FFR with no internet connection at all are much different things.
Just like...make stepfiles identical to the ones on FFR for all the songs on FFR if you absolutely have to geez.

                Re: Playing FFR Offline?

I have the version with 4 songs, but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to be giving that out, plus I don't really think you would want an offline ffr with 4 synth files x.x

To play offline, I think you need to have the FFR game already open while your internet is connected, then you can turn off your internet, and all the songs you have loaded in your cache you can play. Just be careful in picking songs, I suggest clicking the genre a few times so you can see challenge/ffr shop when you select a song, that way if you don't have it selected, you can cancel the load by going in one of those.

I've dad somehow has it set to clear the cache everytime the internet browser is closed, which I don't know how to turn off, so I've never been able to play offline. Although I'm pretty sure what I explained is how it works.

                  Re: Playing FFR Offline?

@Bynary Fission: Unless you have a connection, it's impossible to play offline. Ironic, isn't it? Even if you downloaded all the flash files to your hard drive, FFR requires authentication from their servers, so you would have to find a way to bypass that. Sorry.

@[TeRa]: If you're on IE, Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced [tab] --> Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed [checkbox]. Uncheck that. It's near the bottom. If you're on Firefox, sorry. I don't use Firefox to play the game.

you can play offline if you have the files stored in your cache... you'd have to have a browser window open to the game already and all the songs you want to play already loaded. and then you still wouldn't have score recording... but you could play for fun.

Well you can actually download a replay, and use http://www.globfx.com/products/swfplayer/ to play the .swf, you fastforward until you find some either songs, or "back to games"
You can play, "Trip to the moon, Super Mario, Freakout, Driveway light, Snowflakes, Libertine, Zodiac, Play it funky, From Mount Chorus, and Beethoven virus.
All offline, except the fact that you do not have a settings window, meaning no speed mods.

                        It's just not worth it.

                        Play stepmania. :]

Download the FFR trainer V2. It doesn't work for cheating, but it is usable offline. Last year I used it when I went to California for a week. It updates the new songs every time you connect to the internet, but it has the same old ones as always if you disconnect from the internet. Load them, and enjoy!

I heard that dzr released a really old version (like FFR 1st style or something), that is old with avmisses and everything...

Those other fixes seem a bit better than that.

EDIT: Yeah, SM is a lot better than FFR offline... Just do it and dl a buncha good packs.
