Making Step thingys?

Ok, I play FFR. My bf watches, as he aint no good with his fingers ()

He would like to know how you make the step thingys (arrow things with songs). I dont know what theyre called! And how do you get them on the site?

If anyone can help, that would be kwlies.

They are called stepfiles or simfiles. You use[most commonly] Stepmania to make them. There are various steps to making a file though. Also, getting them onto FFR is a bit tricky. People have to like the song you're stepping, the file has to be well done[for whatever difficulty you step it at], and you have to get the artist of the song's permission, if FFR does not already have it. Then you send it in and it gets judged.

i would recommend reading the Simulator Files subforum for guides and FAQs on how to make stepcharts... and then once you've made a bunch and are good at it, I'd recommend reading the Songs/Permissions subforum to find out the properly rules and regulations for submitting for consideration into FFR.

Stepmania 3.9 is best. Go on the site to downnload it, and to get instructions for specific usage. I'll tell you this much though: It's hard to make a perfect stepfile.
